Levels of Care

We offer terminally ill patients increased comfort and enhanced quality of life when curative treatment no longer works.  We enable patients and their families to choose how they live their final moments together.

Hospice care is available in your home, nursing home or at Hospice House and includes:

Routine Care

We provide supportive care to patients with stabilized symptoms. Routine hospice services include:

  • Skilled Nursing
  • Medical Social Worker
  • Counseling Services (for both patient and family)
    • Psychosocial
    • Spiritual
    • Bereavement
  • Home Health Aide
  • Medical Equipment and supplies related to the terminal diagnosis
  • Medications related to the terminal diagnosis

Inpatient Care

We provide intensive skilled nursing care and interventions to manage acute and chronic medical symptoms.

Inpatient level of care can be provided at the Hospice House.  In addition to the Hospice House, Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County has contracts with multiple local hopsitals in the event hospitalization is needed for symptom management. 

Respite Care

We offer relief for the caregiver of a patient who requires care on a short-term basis.

Respite care is provided at the Hospice House for Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County patients.  In addition, contracts are maintained with nursing homes and hospitals to provide respite care for our paitents.

Continuous Care

In a period of crisis, we provide continuous care to achieve palliation or to manage acute or chronic medical symptoms.  Continuous nursing care is not available at Hospice House.

 

No matter where home is - a patient's home, nursing home or Hospice House - we enhance comfort and provide emotional and spiritual support.
