Kids Kamp

Kids Kamp 2012 is just around the corner, past the "spring things" - spring break, proms and graduations.  Time off from school gives everyone a welcome change of pace, but especially school age children.  It provides a welcome respite from tight schedules, activity overload and increased tensions that accrue over the course of a school year.

What a great time of year to give children and teens an opportunity to retreat from the busy past nine months and address delayed grief!

Kids Kamp 2012 is coming soon.  Two three-week sessions will run this summer at Reins of Hope.

Session One: June 12, 19, 26

Session Two: July 10, 17, 24

Tuesdays 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Your child or teen may have experienced a recent loss.  The need for support in that situation is obvious.  But they also could be struggling with a loss from years past.  Sometimes long-ago-losses appear to have resolved by the passage of time.

Don't be fooled!  Grief is a life-long process of reconciling ourselves to the reality of the loss.  The loss itself insists on being our travel-mate throughout life.  Try as we might, the affects of loss cannot be neatly boxed and put in storage.

Take another look at your child or teen.  Perhaps that mood change, or behavior, or sudden sullenness may derive from a grief need long ignored.  So, why not take advantage of this great opportunity?

Kids Kamp 2012 can be a difference-maker for your child or teen.  Experienced counselors, therapeutic activity, and peer support - it's all there for your child or teen.  And it's free!

Take time to enroll your child in one of the sessions listed above by calling us at 620.665.2473 or 1.800.267.6891.
